Local 527 Hosts UA Canada Central Apprentice Competition In Windsor

On May 17 and 18, UA Canada’s most talented apprentices from across central Canada were at the UA Canada Central Apprentice Competition in Windsor, Ontario. Hosted by UA Local 527, 21 apprentices competed with the best and brightest of their peers for a chance to go up to the UA Canada National Apprentice Competition, to be hosted in June 2016.

UA Canada would like to congratulate all the competitors for their hard work and dedication throughout. The winners of the 2016 UA Canada Central Apprentice Competition are:

The competition consists of written exams on competitors’ practical and theoretical knowledge in their own trade. UA Canada hosts three annual regional competitions across Canada (east, west and central). The winners of each region go on to compete at the UA Canada National Apprentice Competition. This year, 15 winners across the three regions will compete at the national event, held this June in Edmonton, Alberta. Winners of the national competition are given the opportunity to move  on to the UA International Apprentice Competition representing Canada (District 6) in Ann Arbor, Michigan (stay tuned for the dates).
