Infrastructure spending boost will benefit UA Canada members

The Canadian federal government has increased its infrastructure spending budget by $81 million, totaling $187 billion spending for the next 11 years. The increase will create new jobs in Canada and opportunities for UA Canada members.

Many Canadian companies are expected to gain positive work out of the budget increase, including SNC-Lavalin, Stantec, Stuart Olson and WSP Global.

The new budget will be rolled out in 2017 and 2018 and is expected to produce a mix of industry projects, such as mid-sized green initiatives for the electrification of transit.
